Abstract

Soil biodiversity, as an indispensable component of ecosystems, plays a crucial role in maintaining the health of agricultural ecosystems and enhancing the quality of agricultural products. Sustainable agricultural management practices have a positive impact on soil biodiversity but also present a range of challenges. This review begins with an overview of sustainable agricultural management and delves into its effects on soil biodiversity, as well as the roles of international and national policies in influencing soil biodiversity. Moreover, the review offers a series of policy recommendations and future research directions to maintain and enhance soil biodiversity, thereby achieving the goals of sustainable agricultural management. Ongoing research and efforts in this field will provide vital guidance and support in creating healthier and more sustainable agricultural ecosystems.
